Hi everyone. Today is Monday and welcome to our Week 11 of Virtual learning!

3 Star Challenge - Word Problems
1)   Collect 9 sticks but you found 9 more in the afternoon. How many sticks do you have altogether? 
2)   If a ladybird has 4 spots on one side and 4 spots on the other side. How many spots does it have?
3)   Some Year 1 students from other school will visit the class for an afternoon. There are usually 10 students in a class but today they are double that amount. How many children are there altogether? 


4) Literacy  – WALT: understand and write past tense of a word.

Today in English we will continue to look at the book 'Lila and the Secret of Rain' trying to spy past tenses within the book. 

Past tense is when we talk about something that has already happened.

Invertebrates

Animals can be classified as either vertebrates or invertebrates.
Invertebrates are animals that don't have a backbone. Some have soft bodies, like worms, slugs and jellyfish. Other invertebrates, like insects, spiders and crustaceans, have a hard outer casing called an exoskeleton. This protects their body a bit like a suit of armour.
